Local Record Centres

Local Record Centres (LRCs) are at the forefront of biological recording and have been established nationwide to provide a local focal point for the collation and management of environmental data. There are four records centres operating within Wales giving full geographical coverage. Click on the link to find out more information about your local record centre.

Each year, SEWBReC organises biodiversity blitz days as a chance for recorders to come together and spend a day surveying an under recorded site. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people, learn new skills and also have fun!  For more details on how to get involved click on the SEWBReC web link.

National Biodiversity Network

The National Biodiversity Network (NBN) Gateway website is designed to compliment the network of LRC's and provide a hub for all recording activity. THe NBN can be used to view distribtion maps of species, for example you can view distribution maps for all Welsh priority species.
